Liverpool have come to an agreement with starlet Harvey Elliott on a new contract and are set to snub any loan offers that come in for him, according to reports.

The 17-year-old has had a phenomenal breakthrough season at Anfield in the eys of the fans after his summer move from Fulham last year.

The Merseysiders are reaping the rewards for the gamble and will look to credit him for his efforts as he is quickly becoming one of the outstanding young players in the country.

According to Football Insider, the Reds will offer him a longer contract and a bigger wage in recognition of his efforts during his short Merseyside spell.

Having attracted attention from the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Manchester City before choosing to play for us, it looks like we are about to tie down a crucial player of the future.

The report also adds that Elliott will be much better off financially than his youth teammates with a package worth over £20,000-a-week. This will come in place as a senior deal which will replace the former youth terms of his contract.

As the £3.24m-rated star is now 17, he is in a position where he can sign a professional contract and it looks like we are wasting no time by making the offer, with no intention of loaning him out for the 2020/21 campaign.

This is a wise move from the club. Not only is it an indication that he has a significant part to play in the future of this club, but he also plans to offer him more minutes sooner rather than later.
