Reports suggest that Liverpool will snub a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jadon Sancho and allow him to head to Manchester United instead.

The England international has a £120m price tag on his head and has been attracting some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Sancho is having an unbelievable season in the Bundesliga, with 17 goals and 19 assists in 35 appearances in all competitions.

According to the Mirror, the Englishman is prepared to reject a move to Anfield due to the fact that it would be “difficult” for him to break into the attacking set-up at Anfield ahead of the infamous trio Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

His performances have been so astounding, that England head coach Gareth Southgate gave him the opportunity to represent the Three Lions, and has scored two goals and provided four assists in 11 outings.

Sancho was well on the way to beating his stats from the 2018/19 campaign, having scored 13 times and conjured up 19 assists in 43 games. However, the Bundesliga season was postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which was brought sporting events to a halt on a global scale.

Sancho is a serious talent and if the report is true, the player himself sounds like he is lacking in confidence despite him performing so well over the past two seasons.

Although Liverpool will be looking to sign players that will be able to get into the first team. Spending £120m on a man who is not guaranteed first-team football would be brave. At the same time, choosing a Europa League side over a team that is about to win the Premier League tells you everything about his ambitions.
