According to a report from the Athletic, Liverpool have apparently ‘stopped talking‘ in the current Premier League meetings surrounding a potential solution to the season – maintaining a ‘Sphinx-like cool‘ over how the FA opt to conclude the campaign.
Indeed, as per this report, the Reds have taken a back seat in contributing towards negotiations over how the season could potentially finish – prompting some Liverpool supporters to debate our club’s stance on social media.
Is this the right approach from Liverpool?
The season was recently postponed due to a current global pandemic, with fan safety at the centre of priority as Britain gets to grips with a nationwide lock down.
Liverpool’s stance on taking a more relaxed approach to the season debate has supporters mixed on social media, with some fans understanding the decision completely while others blast it as ‘ridiculous‘ and a ‘club PR‘.

You deny Liverpool this title and the EPL has got nothing onward.. because Liverpool is the biggest thing to ever happen to English Football home and Abroad… I am sure they don’t want to witness the ripple effect…

The second we open our mouths we’d be accused of self-interest. This is the only course of action we can possibly take. A dignified approach.

They must’ve been told that they will be awarded the title either way. Why talk and ruin it when it will go your way.
