A harsh fact of life but so very true.

When it comes to the transfer market there’s no guarantee that an interest in a player will always result in a successful deal being reached.

There are just so many obstacles to overcome before that is the case.

With the January transfer window set to open, in a matter of hours, hopes that Liverpool may be successful in signing Christian Pulisic appear to be fading.

According to the Italian media source, Calciomercato, it appears that the 20-year-old USA international, currently on the books of the Bundesliga outfit, Borussia Dortmund, is bound for our Premier League rivals, Chelsea.

Although Pulisic and his club have remained tight-lipped about his future, our referenced source is suggesting that his US international former team-mate, Eddie Johnson, has given the game away on social media.

Like we said at the start of the article, some you win and some, unfortunately, you lose.
