Speaking to France Football via Sport Witness, ex-Liverpool playmaker Luis Alberto has opened up over his spell at Anfield – claiming it was a ‘shame‘ he couldn’t fulfil his potential on Merseyside – prompting some supporters to laud the £39.6m-valued ace in response.
Alberto, who signed for the Reds during the summer of 2013 from Sevilla in a meagre £6.8 million deal, went on to make just 12 appearances for us in all competitions before being sold to Lazio in 2016.
Would you take Luis Alberto back at Anfield?
100%
No
Following his forgettable Premier League stint, Alberto has since gone to become a revelation in Serie A – assisting his teammates 15 times this season whilst notching five goals from midfield according to Transfermarkt.
Let go for just £4.3 million, the Spaniard’s valuation has increased exponentially, potentially forcing Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp into contemplation over letting him leave.
Following his great season for Lazio, these Reds have urged the club to ‘take him back‘ as well as claiming he ‘deserved more chances‘ – find all of their best comments down below.
I appreciate the modesty but Rodgers should’ve given him and Aspas more chances, both evidently capable players maybe not prem players but still deserved more chances

Quality player at the moment. Disappointed that it didn’t work the right way for him and Suso.
