Over recent weeks, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has raised his concerns about his player’s welfare and the current injury crisis that the Reds are suffering at the moment.

A big discussion has begun over the current match scheduling and what this contributes to the aforementioned injuries crisis and player welfare talks – with radio show TalkSPORT again offering their opinion on the matter but this time from a different perspective and voice in the form of Sam Matterface…

Just last week fellow TalkSPORT presenter Simon Jordan was spouting his thoughts and feelings on the matter in his usual way, with little care and consideration of having an actual discussion over the matter and just shouting and ranting about the money.

Matterface, however, offers a concise and valued argument on the matter compared to his colleague, with him actually talking about what the broadcast deals consist of and what it would take to actually make such a change in the scheduling of games – and it isn’t something that can change overnight.

I myself have been equally as frustrated as Jurgen Klopp in terms of the match schedule so far this season, with the German’s argument dating back to last season prior to Christmas with the Reds’ schedule rather packed even then. Thankfully for me and many other football fans, Matterface actually manages to provide sound reasoning behind the TV broadcasters and their choices in matches, and from what I have learned, it will take a lot for any form of change, if any, to happen.

The discussion will continue with this season proving as hotly contested as ever – but as long as there are level headed discussions about the matters at hand such as Matterface’s, there is potential for positive progress to be made regarding Klopp’s concerns.

What do you think Liverpool fans, do you agree with Sam Matterface’s comments? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below…
