As far as injuries go, then it’s fair to say that not many players, at Anfield, have had such a bad run as Daniel Sturridge has.
However, now fit again, the striker finds himself in hot water with the Football Association after being accused of flouting the organisations’ strict rules on betting.
This weekend, the temperature of that water just got a whole lot hotter.
The news source, the Sun, has revealed that the sum of £10,000 was placed on a bet that Sturridge would quit Liverpool last January, something that did happen with Sturridge going out on loan to West Bromwich Albion.
But, the bet, it is being reported, was placed by a cousin of Daniels!
Now that cousin either took a huge punt off his own back or was party to inside information.
These must be worrying times for Daniel who could face the full fury of the Football Association.
