Since joining the club in the summer, Diogo Jota has gone on to really shake things up in both the Premer League and Champions League with Liverpool.
The Portuguese forward has scored 8 goals in 12 games for the Reds since joining for just over £40 million – and on TalkSPORT yesterday, Watford striker Troy Deeney stated he wasn’t surprised over Jota’s form since joining the club…

It is interesting to hear Deeney’s thoughts on Jota – saying that he was always the player that they feared the most when coming up against Wolves during his time in the Premier League.
I think this is a full testament to the quality that Jota possesses and what the Reds have brought into the side with his signing – the 23-year-old has been a revelation for the club and has surprised me with just how quickly he has adapted to life with the Reds, especially with contending for a place within the front three of Sadio Mané, Roberto Firmino, and Mo Salah.

Deeney commented on how despite Wolves possessing the goalscoring ability of Raul Jimenez and the pace of Adama Traore, Jota had all of it and then some, with the goalscoring ability, pace, technical ability, composure – and it just shows the absolute gem that the club has managed to get their hands on and so far to me, it seems like an absolute bargain so far.
Jota has certainly been able to step up his game at the Reds and that is all thanks to the quality of the squad and Jurgen Klopp, all of which have helped to improve his game, and hopefully, that will continue.
