Lots of Liverpool fans all said the same thing about captain Jordan Henderson after they watched their side crash out of the FA Cup on Tuesday night.
The Reds suffered their third defeat in four games in all competitions after losing 2-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Jurgen Klopp’s side have now narrowed their focus down to two competitions, the Premier League and the Champions League, to place their full attention. Goals from Willian and Ross Barkley either side of the interval was enough to send the Merseysiders packing.
In what was a horror display from the league leaders, one player is sorely missed from the squad and fans believe that he could have made a significant impact.
Is Jordan Henderson the missing link in this Liverpool team?
Having effectively been Liverpool’s marmite player over the years, the absence of Henderson is noticeable. The lack of domination in midfield and playing with no assertiveness was apparent. With the likes of Fabinho and Adam Lallana looking rudderless, they were easily outbattled by Chelsea’s Matteo Kovacic and tricky youngster Billy Gilmour.
Because of this, supporters made their feelings clear about the Sunderland-born skipper on social media. One fan said that the team misses him badly and is the glue that keeps all 11 players together.

Yes we miss Hendo but we were awful in AM & Norwich games with him so it’s much deeper. I said after West Ham game that there was something deeper wrong with our side defensively as a team and I got slaughtered for it. That’s 7 goals in 3 games concede. Huge concern #LFC
