According to a report from the Daily Mail, Newcastle United are interested in swooping for Reds winger Xherdan Shaqiri this summer and have allegedly ‘identified’ the Swiss as a major potential signing – prompting many Liverpool fans to drool over the alleged ‘good deal for FSG‘.
Indeed, as per this report, the Magpies have even ‘contacted’ Shaqiri’s representatives over a move to the north east, and judging by the responses of Reds supporters, it may well be a good idea to contemplate selling the 28-year-old.
Should Liverpool sell Shaqiri?
Yes, good move for everyone
No, keep him as back up
Shaqiri hasn’t featured for Liverpool since an 89th minute substitute appearance against Spurs back in January, with a combination of fitness issues and lack of opportunities ahead of our main front three being the catalyst surrounding his meagre amount of playing time.
Now, with Newcastle allegedly posing an interest, the time could be right to sell up, especially given the fact Liverpool are said to be targeting players such as Timo Werner.
Here’s how supporters responded to the news on Twitter.
Please overpay 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Good decision.
Promote Elliott as Salah’s cover.
Jones for llallana, Williams for clyne
Replace Adrian with Karius/Grabara.
Keep keita fit.
We will improve by squad by 10-20% without buying anyone.
