Tonight, following Manchester City’s 3-1 victory over Arsenal, Liverpool have the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the table from the two points it is now to five points once again.

However, with Manchester City in action again in midweek, that lead could soon be chopped to two points again, such is the nature of the Premier League this season.

Ahead of the game, at his pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp, as reported by the BBC, took a swipe at those, on the outside, who reckon his side are starting, as the title run-in starts to take shape, showing nerves, remarking:

“We do what we always do: we prepare ourselves and handle our situation our own way. We have no influence on the feelings and stuff from other people.

“It was always clear if you want to win something there will always be a bunch of people who hope you will win and another bunch of people who hope you will lose.”

That’s natural when you are sat, proudly, on top of the table, the British just love the chance to snipe at those at the peak.

Success comes at a price!

With the kick-off fast approaching, we are now able to bring you the team-sheets.
