West Ham v Liverpool – Premier League – Early Team-News

|

Yesterday, Manchester City reduced the gap at the top of the Premier League to just two points, courtesy of a 3-1 win against a side looking to clinch a top-four finish, Arsenal.

The victory puts pressure on Liverpool to go to the London Stadium, this evening, ensuring they take the three points on offer to, once again, increase the gap at the top to five points.

Hopefully, it is something Jurgen Klopp’s side can achieve.

Ahead of the crucial game, we’ve taken a quick look at the early team-news.

Starting with our hosts, West Ham United.

It appears that the Hammers main danger-man, their impressive Austrian striker Marko Arnautovic, could be fit to play. Arnautovic was originally thought to be doubtful after picking up a foot injury in West Ham’s defeat away to Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Liverpool defence will need to keep Arnautovic well shackled tonight.

As for somebody who is definitely ruled out, look no further than the former Arsenal and Manchester City player, Samir Nasri is ruled out with a calf injury.

As for those previously rated as doubtful, the Hammers boss. Manuel Pellegrini expects Lukasz Fabianski and Aaron Cresswell to have recovered from arm and hamstring problems respectively.

Continuing with Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp looks set to use James Milner, available again after suspension, to cover in defence for the continued absence of Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Also not available through injury and further depleting the defensive option is Dejan Loren who is still sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Please join us later today when the team-sheets are revealed ahead of the kick-off.
