According to a report from Corriere dello Sport via Sport Witness, Liverpool and Real Madrid are the ‘main antagonists‘ in a five-horse race to sign Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar – prompting plenty of Reds to have their say over the €50 million (£44.9 million) man.
Aouar, who has started 23 Ligue 1 matches for the French side this season, scoring three goals and assisting four others, is seen as a real talent throughout Europe – with the Reds now emerging as real candidates to secure his signature.
As well as Liverpool, rivals Man City, Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris-Saint Germain are competing for his services – but Real and the Reds in particularly seem to be ahead of the pack.
In response to this update, many supporters have flocked to showcase their diverse range of opinions – with a handful claiming that the club should pursue a deal.
