Another Sakho Rejection

It was being reported yesterday that Liverpool had rebuffed a further bid from Crystal Palace for defender Mamadou Sakho.

Having fallen out with manager Jurgen Klopp, Sakho did spend the second half of the 2016/17 campaign out on loan with Palace – making eight appearances as he helped them to avoid the drop – and they have been credited with an interest in taking him back all summer but the stumbling black has always been the fee, with Liverpool said to be holding out for around the £30-35million mark.

Sky Sports were reporting yesterday that having had two bids rejected by the Anfield side, Palace had come back with an improved £25million offer, but that too was rejected.

Sky report the deal as £22million upfront for the French international, with £3million in addons. Liverpool are sticking to £30million though.

This one could run right until the deadline.
