Former Red insists Klopp is running out of time

|

Former Liverpool man, Dietmar Hamann has insisted that talk over the sacking of Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is getting closer following the 3-2 defeat to Arsenal.

Currently sitting fourteen points behind the Gunners at the top of the table, Klopp’s side have suffered Liverpool’s worst start to a campaign for ten years.

Despite leading Liverpool to six major trophies in seven years since joining in October 2015, Hamann isn’t sure how much worse the start can get before the owners start to look at other options.

Speaking to Hamann said: “If the results are not there, at some stage the manager will come under pressure, If they were to get beat or not win against Manchester City, it could be eight or nine points off fourth place.”

It is hard to argue with the former Red’s thinking, with Klopp’s side unbelievably only sitting four points above the relegation zone and are below the likes of Bournemouth and Fulham in the table.

Hamann didn’t only take aim at Klopp, insisting that Mohamed Salah has been nowhere near good enough since signing a new contract with the club in the summer.

Captain Jordan Henderson also came under fire suggesting the skipper has become a frustrated figure at the club which could be linked to an underlying issue within the squad.

Liverpool face Rangers on Tuesday before hosting Manchester City at Anfield next Sunday, one of the biggest weeks in Klopp’s time at the club, another two defeats could see Hamann’s concerns become truth.
