Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been linked with a move away from Anfield for the majority of the summer transfer window so far and now transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has provided an interesting update on the midfielder.

Speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s daily briefing with Caught Offside, the transfer guru suggested that Oxlade-Chamberlain has received approaches from numerous clubs but no concrete offers.

“Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be one to watch: he has received approaches, but there are no official offers on the Liverpool table yet.”

“As far as Jurgen Klopp is concerned, he doesn’t want many more departures this summer.”

Takumi Minamino, Divock Origi and Sadio Mane have all left the Merseyside club this summer, so another exit wouldn’t be too much of a stretch, considering the options Liverpool have in midfield.

Nevertheless, the midfield is aging and replacements for Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Thiago will need to be considered during this window or next summer.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool part ways with Oxlade-Chamberlain, however, a move away from Anfield is probably the best option for all parties involved.
