Liverpool have reportedly reignited their interest in a highly-rated Bundesliga midfielder and it’s not the 19-year-old England international you are thinking of.
The player in question is Borussia Monchengladbach’s Florian Neuhaus, the 25-year-old is a solid midfielder and could be the answer to improving the Red’s aging engine room.
According to Fichajes, Liverpool are reportedly keen to bring Neuhaus to Anfield and see him as the ideal alternative to Borussia Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham.
Neuhaus joins a host of midfielders linked with Jurgen Klopp’s side this summer after the club missed out on signing French hotshot Aurelien Tchouameni earlier in the transfer window.

Nevertheless, Neuhaus is an interesting proposition, he’d likely come into Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool setup to replace Thiago Alcantara over the next few seasons and is a like-for-like replacement for the Spain international.
Neuhaus is at his best sitting deep and moving the ball forward with pace when needed, a sturdy, classy midfielder who would do much of the dirty work for his team.
A move for such a midfielder this summer makes sense for Liverpool, it gives the player time to settle into Jurgen Klopp’s system for a season, before becoming a more focal point of call in campaigns to come.
Neuhaus making the switch to Merseyside would settle any fan’s worries about Liverpool’s injury-prone midfield for the 2022/2023 season.
