Liverpool In Race To Bring Midfield Wonderkid To Anfield

There’s no doubt that Liverpool are sitting pretty as we prepare to embark on the second half of the season.

Sitting proudly on top of the Premier league table, there’s every reason to believe that if Jurgen Klopp can inspire his side to get the three points on offer, at the Etihad Stadium, when we take on Manchester City, on Thursday night, then it could well be said that the Premier League title is ours to lose.

It’s taken a long time and a lot of financial expenditure for Jurgen Klopp to build a side that appears to be heading for title glory, but time stands still for no man and speculation is suggesting that Liverpool are looking to keep on improving the squad.

Lurking in the pages of the tabloid news source, the Daily Star, Liverpool are looking to acquire the services of somebody who is being described as a wonderkid.

The youngster in question is Abdulkadir Omur, who is currently on the books of the Turkish side, Trabzonspor.

Although just 19-years-of-age, Omur has attracted attention from Europe’s top clubs and to bring the midfielder to our neck of the woods, Liverpool will have to fight off apparent interest from Manchester City and Roma whilst also being prepared to pay a transfer fee, said to be of the magnitude of £27 million.

As is the norm, here at Vital Liverpool, we’ll keep an eye out for any further developments and report back as deemed necessary.
