Brighton forward Leandro Trossard was a thorn in the side of Liverpool during their 3-3 draw at Anfield on Saturday.

Becoming the first player to score a hat trick against Liverpool at Anfield since Andrey Arshavin back in 2009, and only the third player in Premier League history to do so.

Trossard’s finishing expertise was matched by his excellent pace and skill, leaving full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold wondering what day it was.

With a lack of depth supporting Mohamed Salah in the right-wing position, the 27-year-old could be a perfect signing for Jurgen Klopp.

The Belgian international has scored five goals and created one assist in his seven appearances in the Premier League so far this season.

Trossard has made 107 Premier League appearances in total, contributing 35 goal involvements since his debut in 2019 (23 of which being goals).

Despite being right-footed which wouldn’t perfectly suit Klopp’s inside-forward style of play, four out of five of the Brighton winger’s goals have been scored with his “weaker” left foot which showcases the player’s undeniable talent.

Klopp also has a strong tendency to sign players after solid performances against his own side- Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Virgil van Dijk and Darwin Nunez are just a few examples of this.

Liverpool could complete this deal if they were to act quick, as the forward’s contract is set to expire in June 2023 meaning his signature could be captured for free.
