Tottenham v Liverpool: Team News

|

Liverpool travel to North London to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday in a massive six pointer in both sides’ hunt for Champions League qualification.

However, both face injury problems ahead of the game leaving both sides will be fancying their chances of getting a good result.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of the clash (Liverpool FC Youtube Channel), Klopp gave the latest update on his captain, Jordan Henderson: “Hendo, yes, he’s available. He trained yesterday completely normal so should be fine. He had a little thing but serious enough to not be involved in the last game.”

Henderson was absent in Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Napoli in the Champions League at Anfield on Tuesday night.

Klopp also confirmed that James Milner will not be available for selection on Sunday due to concussion, saying: “When you go through a concussion you are not available for the next game because you have to go through different stages.”

Joel Matip and Naby Keita are also unavailable as they continue to recover from their injuries, whilst Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz still remain sidelined until after the World Cup at least.

In terms of Tottenham Hotspur’s team news, Richarlison, Heung-Min Son, Lucas Moura and Christian Romero are all expected to miss Sunday’s game.

Whilst Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski are possibly fit enough for the bench.
