Tottenham v Liverpool: Starting XI Prediction

|

Liverpool face Tottenham Hotspur in a huge clash in the Premier League on Sunday, with three points a must for both sides. Here’s how we think Jurgen Klopp will lineup his side:

Goalkeeper- Alisson Becker

The Brazilian will continue in goal against Tottenham after keeping another clean sheet against Napoli on Tuesday.

Defence- Trent, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson

Ibou Konate should partner Virgil Van Dijk in the middle of defence after a stellar performance during the week. Andy Robertson is likely to come back in at left-back despite Kostas Tsimikas solid display against Napoli. Trent Alexander-Arnold will go again at right-back.

Midfield- Fabinho, Thiago, Henderson

It’s expected that Jurgen Klopp will look to go back to his more familiar 4-3-3 formation at the weekend, after finally having the three midfielders fit enough to start at the same time. Harvey Elliott may find himself unfortunate to not make the starting lineup, however I suspect that Trent might need the help of Jordan Henderson down the right-hand side.

Forwards- Salah, Firmino, Nunez

With not much to pick from up top, Darwin Nunez should come into the starting lineup after coming off the bench to score against Napoli meaning Curtis Jones will drop to the bench. Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino will undoubtedly be asked to go again, before getting a rest during the week.

Bench- Kelleher, Gomez, Ramsay, Tsimikas, Bajcetic, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Elliott, Carvalho, Jones
