Virgil Van Dijk speaks out on possible new Liverpool owners

|

Virgil Van Dijk has offered his opinion on the current ownership situation at Liverpool, following news that FSG are leaning towards a partial sale of the club.

The club was put up for sale at the start of November, with a value of around £3.7billion being thrown around in the media.

After Netherlands 3-1 victory against the USA in the last 16 of the World Cup, the Holland captain offered his thoughts on the potential takeover and what it could mean for the club going forward.

According to KeepUp, Van Dijk has full faith in the direction that the club will go in, regardless of who buys the club.

Virgil had this to say on the current speculation: “I have full trust in Liverpool that they will be fine. We are a very established club, one of the biggest in the world and that will stay that way.”

The Reds have had a frustrating start to the 2022/23 season currently sitting in 6th place in the Premier League, leaving many fans questioning what the January transfer window could hold in terms of possible incomings.

Midfield seems to be the key issue at hand to Jurgen Klopp and fans will be hoping a marquee signing will be on the way through the door regardless of the current ownership situation.
