25-year-old star could be available for €70M in January

Liverpool will still be on the search for a midfielder to bolster their engine room when the transfer window reopens in January.

And there’s one name in particular that keeps getting linked with Jurgen Klopp’s team, Inter Milan’s Nicolo Barella, who will reportedly be available for €70m in January, according to CalcioMercatoWeb.

The change in attitude is largely down to Inter’s poor start to the season which has prompted Barella to consider his options outside of Italy.

Barella would be the blockbuster midfield signing that fans have been crying out for, he’s extremely talented and could seemingly slot into Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI with ease.

Despite signing Arthur Melo on deadline day, the Reds are definitely still in the market for a midfielder and it’s thought they’ll continue their search in the next two windows.

Jude Bellingham is the club’s main target but Klopp may be forced to look for alternatives should the Dortmund youngster move elsewhere; competition for his signature will be rife. [The Express].

Barella would be the perfect Bellingham alternative, he’s arguably just as good as the England international and would come at a cheaper price.

The 25-year-old is very technically gifted and has an energetic style that looks to always move forward with the ball; something the Reds midfield desperately needs.

It would be the absolute dream for Liverpool to sign both Barella and Bellingham, however, I’m sure fans would settle for one or the other.
