Liverpool wantaway midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain appears to be leaving no stone unturned in his pre-season preparations and has been pictured alongside Leicester City talisman James Maddison.
Oxlade-Chamberlain posted a series of pictures to his Instagram account showing the two training with and against each other in some brutal 1 v 1 sessions.
The midfielder has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer after failing to make an impression in Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI during the last campaign.
West Ham and Aston Villa had been touted as possible clubs for the 28-year-old to join earlier this summer but interest in the player has seemed to cool off in recent weeks.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has one year left on his Liverpool contract and the club will likely want to avoid losing the midfielder on a free transfer next summer.
Liverpool have already let a host of names leave the club, with Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi all saying farewell to their time on Merseyside.
Oxlade-Chamberlain certainly has the tools to mix it with the best in the Premier League but whether he can force his way into Liverpool’s setup week in, week out remains to be seen.
The best solution for all parties involved is to get a solid fee for the 28-year-old, this allows Liverpool to reinvest in their next top midfield talent and gives Oxlade-Chamberlain the chance at some first-team action.
