Brighton v Liverpool: Starting XI Prediction

|

Liverpool will be looking to take one step closer to lifting the FA Cup for the second year in a row, as they travel to face Brighton in the Fourth Round.

With seven players missing, Jurgen Klopp faces a selection headache as he looks for improvements on Liverpool’s 3-0 defeat at Brighton a few weeks ago.

Here is how we think Liverpool will lineup tomorrow:

Goalkeeper- Alisson Becker

I believe Klopp will go with Alisson rather than Kelleher for this one, as the debate surrounding the Irishman’s future at the club continue to rage on.

Defence- Trent, Gomez, Konate, Robertson

Trent will come in for James Milner in the only change from the back four that kept clean sheets against Wolves and Chelsea.

Joe Gomez and Ibou Konate will continue at the heart of the defence, with Joel Matip on the bench.

Midfield- Bajcetic, Thiago, Keita

Similar to the defence, I think Klopp will go with the same midfield that performed well in the last two games.

Stefan Bajcetic will continue at the base after signing a new contract during the week, with Thiago and Naby Keita just ahead of him.

Forwards- Salah, Gakpo, Nunez

Darwin Nunez will come back in at left-wing, with Mohamed Salah running the other side.

Cody Gakpo will play in the false-nine, looking to involve the midfield more and get Salah and Nunez on the move.

Bench- Kelleher, Matip, Tsimikas, Milner, Fabinho, Henderson, Elliott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Doak.
