Liverpool have been linked with numerous midfielders during this summer’s transfer window, however, it may be because of Jurgen Klopp’s faith in 19-year-old Harvey Elliott that the club are holding off any moves until next summer.

According to Northern football correspondent for The Times, Paul Joyce, Liverpool are unwilling to listen to loan offers for Harvey Eliott, despite there being concrete interest from ‘established top-flight sides’.

Elliott burst onto the football scene last season and enjoyed a solid stint in Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI before a horrific injury against Leeds halted his campaign.

Nevertheless, now fully recovered it seems Elliott is set to get another chance at winning over Klopp and the youngster certainly has the talent to do so.

This will be music to the ears of Liverpool fans, who unanimously expect Elliott to achieve big things with the club in the coming years.

It’s no surprise that Liverpool are unwilling to listen to offers for the 19-year-old but it’s always nice to get confirmation that the club have no intention of letting a prized asset leave.

Elliott is being touted to start into today’s first preseason game against Manchester United in Thailand, hopefully providing a glimpse to fans of what is to come this season.
