Liverpool will be looking to avenge last year’s Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid in the 2022-2023 Uefa competition.

Their journey will start on Thursday the 25th of August when the group stages of the tournament are drawn and the Reds will find out who they will face.

Jurgen Klopp’s team will be in pot 2, meaning they will face one team from pots one, three and four, although sides from the same country won’t be drawn against each other.

This year’s competition is slightly different from previous seasons, with the FIFA World Cup changing the tournament’s usual schedule.

The 2022-2023 Champions League group stage will take place over eight weeks, starting on September 6-7 and ending on November 1-2.

The draw for the last 16 will then take place on November 7, with the matches taking place in the months of February and March.

Who would you like to see Liverpool face? Would you like an easier route to the last 16 or an easier challenge heading into the knockout rounds?
