According to an update from Liverpool Echo correspondent Paul Gorst, the Reds look likely to ignore any attempt from Philippe Coutinho and his agent as they try to engineer a move back to Anfield – prompting some supporters to discuss the development.
Coutinho, who bagged a noteworthy 54 goals and 45 assists in all competitions during his time on Merseyside, handed in a transfer request in order to seal a move to current club Barcelona back in 2018.
Should Liverpool re-sign Coutinho?
Yes please
No, he was desperate to jump ship
After a disappointing first full season at the Camp Nou, Coutinho was shipped out on loan to Bayern for the 2019/2020 campaign – but the Bundesliga giants haven’t seen enough of his best form to warrant interest in a permanent deal.
Now, the Brazilian playmaker and agent Kia Joorabchian are testing the waters for a Premier League return, with a return to Liverpool reportedly in their sights.
Gorst explains, though, that any attempt to return will be ignored – prompting these supporters to have mixed reactions on Twitter.

All depends on money. Personally I’d be gutted to see him back in the premier league playing for our rival’s. He still can be top class 👍🏻

From a financial perspective it could make sense. We would probably be able to get him at a massively cut price or we could even just try and loan him with the option to buy. Having a player of his quality in your squad never hurts.
