News broke this week that Liverpool have identified Chelsea wantaway Christian Pulisic as a potential replacement for Bayern Munich-bound Sadio Mane.
The hunt is well and truly on to find a suitable star to fill the boots that Sadio Mane will leave at Anfield, and Jurgen Klopp is said to see Pulisic as one of favourites to do so.
The Daily Star claims Pulisic is open to a switch away from Stamford Bridge after failing to make his mark on a star-studded Chelsea setup guided by Thomas Tuchel.
Pulisic wouldn’t be the first name fans of Liverpool would put forward to replace one of their talismanic front three after some less than impressive Premier League outings.

Nevertheless, Klopp will be fully aware of the talent Pulisic possesses, they briefly worked together at Borussia Dortmund before the German tactician left for Anfield in 2015.
Maybe this is the reason why he is putting the American national team star on his summer wishlist ahead of more favoured names circulating the football world at the minute.
Another thing to take into consideration when evaluating whether Pulisic would be a good fit at Anfield is the Merseyside club’s aggressive style of play; something which would suit the American far more than his current role at Chelsea.
Whether or not Chelsea would be willing to sell one of their assets to a rival Premier League title-chasing challenger remains to be seen, but if Sadio Mane does make his inevitable Liverpool exit there are far worse players on the market to replace him.
