Klopp ‘will not take risks’ ahead of Napoli

Liverpool host Napoli in the final matchday of the Champions League group stages on Tuesday night, with both sides already qualified for the knockout stages.

The Reds have already suffered a defeat to the Italian side already this season, with a disastrous 4-1 defeat in the opening matchday of the European campaign.

Jurgen Klopp’s side will be looking to put things right after losing 2-1 to Leeds United on Saturday evening, their first defeat at Anfield in front of fans for over five years.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of the game (Liverpool FC Youtube Channel), Klopp addressed the defeat to Napoli saying: “They are straight forward, they defend together, the counter-attacks are really good, and they play some good stuff. That’s what we think about and not the first game of Napoli, what we have to put right and all these kinds of things.”

Klopp also addressed the decisions he faces in terms of team selection, saying: “This is not a game for massive rotation, probably, it’s not about that we have to win 4-0 or whatever to top the group. We want to win the game, obviously that’s clear.”

The boss was also questioned over the availability of defender, Ibrahima Konate, Klopp said: “It’s very good that we have him back. He was ready for the squad and now maybe it’s the moment where he can play.”

Hopefully, Liverpool can get back on track with a massive win against Napoli. But then again, how many times have we said that this year?
