Liverpool head into their clash with Napoli needing a win by at least four goals to finish top of the group, supposedly giving them a favored draw in the knockout stages.
However, Jurgen Klopp still faces multiple tricky decisions in terms of his team selection with injuries and fatigue constantly overlooking his squad which he addressed in his pre-match press conference (Liverpool FC Youtube Channel).
Ibrahima Konate:
After being named on the bench in Liverpool’s last two games, Konate is set to be available to start against Napoli. Which could be good to give either Virgil Van Dijk or Joe Gomez, who have partnered each other in the last five consecutive matches.
Calvin Ramsay:
The Scottish full-back has been in great form for the U21’s since returning from injury. It is likely that Ramsay will feature on Tuesday night, which will be his Liverpool debut- as Klopp said: “That makes now no sense if we have to change a lot of players to bring Calvin in for his first senior. Coming on, yeah, for sure- these kind of things should be possible.”
Joel Matip:
The Liverpool boss also confirmed that Joel Matip will not be available for selection against Napoli and did not specify when he expects to have the defender back available.
Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Arthur Melo:
The trio are all still expected to be out until after the World Cup, as previously confirmed by Jurgen Klopp last week.
