With how things are going for Liverpool, they are in the middle of a fight to get back into the top four of the Premier League. However, if things do not change, Klopp and his men will find it tough to get into the UEFA Champions League spots, which will hamper them financially.

That being said, the Reds need to strengthen their team. In particular, their midfield is in horrible shape. In addition, they have a group of talented players over 30, injury-prone, or under 22.

One of the players that crop up time and again as a midfield target for Liverpool is Brighton Hove Albion’s, Moises Caicedo.

A couple of sources, like Football Insider and Mirror Sport, both have stories mentioning that Brighton is willing to sell, and they have stated that the services of the midfielder are available for £85 million. The fact that Liverpool is interested in signing the 20-year-old playmaker is no secret.

Caicedo, despite being young, has established himself as a top-rated defensive midfielder. He shows the qualities needed to take his game to the next level under Klopp. He will be the perfect understudy for Fabinho.

Fabinho, Liverpool’s critical defensive midfielder, has dropped in quality. He has been overturned for possession and cannot control the midfield or stop counter-attacks.

Liverpool needs to bolster their ageing midfield. Please let us know in the comments section if you think Liverpool should break the bank and match the asking price for Moises Caicedo.
