Player Ratings: Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

|

Liverpool now have just one win in their last five games in all competitions after they were held to a 0-0 draw against Chelsea in the Premier League at Anfield.

After yet another very frustrating performance, here is how we think each player performed:

Alisson Becker- 8/10

The Brazilian kept his first clean sheet since Liverpool’s 2-0 victory against Napoli in November, having gone seven games without one since then.

Alisson made multiple crucial saves to prevent Chelsea from taking the lead.

James Milner- 6/10

The 37-year-old put in another solid display, but ultimately ended up being substituted after picking up a yellow card for a professional foul on Mudryk.

Ibou Konate- 6.5/10

The Frenchman was decent defensively but his passing was atrocious at times, constantly inviting more pressure by misplacing passes or not clearing the ball properly.

Joe Gomez- 7/10

Gomez put in a similar performance to Konate but seemed a bit more steady and composed on the ball.

He also made a few runs through the middle that we have become so used to seeing Joel Matip do instead, but ultimately that’s two clean sheets on the bounce for Gomez and Konate.

Andy Robertson- 8/10

The Scotsman never stopped all day and ended up being Liverpool’s most dangerous player when attacking.

His defensive work was also admirable, with the odd exception where Ziyech had too much time to put a cross into the box.

Stefan Bajcetic- 7/10

On his first Premier League start, the Spaniard put in a solid performance, constantly making tackles and interceptions.

He was replaced by Fabinho with ten minutes to go as he began to tire the further into the game we went.

Thiago Alcantara- 8/10

Another great performance from Thiago, both defensively and offensively.

His tackling and anticipation was top quality, with his passing controlling the tempo of the play for large spells of the game.

Naby Keita- 6/10

Keita struggled to get a proper grip on the game and at times seemed to disappear out of the game.

Still put in plenty of energy though, and was involved in a few moments of link-up play with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo.

Harvey Elliott- 6.5/10

The 19-year-old covered lots of ground but struggled to find the final ball or finishing touch on many of Liverpool’s attacking moments.

Cody Gakpo- 7/10

It’s hard to grasp how well Gakpo is progressing when he’s playing down the middle, which he isn’t used to.

The Dutchman had a few bright moments and his close control is a joy to watch, but he just can’t seem to find the back of the net.

Mohamed Salah- 6/10

The Egyptian King never seemed to really get into the game and missed two great chances to give his side the lead.

He still covered lots of ground, pressed and tracked back all the way up until the final whistle.
