According to an update from journalist Diego De Luca via Area Napoli, Liverpool and Spurs have ‘offered‘ €70 million (£62.2 million) to poach Lille striker Victor Osimhen – but these Reds supporters aren’t exactly keen on a potential swoop.

Indeed, despite Osimhen notching 13 goals and four assists in 25 Ligue 1 starts, these fans do not want to see ‘the next Origi‘ come through the doors at Melwood – with one supporter branding him a would-be ‘flop‘.

Should Liverpool sign Osimhen for £62.2 million?

Yes, way better than Werner

No, too expensive

According to WhoScored, the Nigerian prodigy has registered more shots on average than the likes of Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, with only Mohamed Salah bettering his 3.2 attempts per game total.

The 21-year-old has also won 4.4 aerial duels per game, more than any Liverpool forward, but has only managed a 61% pass accuracy in that time.

Despite some fairly noteworthy stats, these Reds fans aren’t keen on Osimhen despite the links, taking to Twitter in full discussion over the news.
