The world is in complete awe of the brilliance of Jude Bellingham over recent months, but there is in fact a more than worthy alternative target in the same league as the Englishman.
That player is Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala, who has really had a breakthrough season so far this campaign.
Musiala has 22 goal involvements in the same number of appearances for Bayern Munich so far this season and is currently in Qatar with Germany, in which he started their opening game against Japan.
Sitting on 12 goals and ten assists, the German has become one of the most creative players in the world and is still incredibly a teenager.
One trait that Musiala has that Bellingham doesn’t quite have, is his incredible versatility with the youngster able to operate in any role in the midfield as well as a winger.
The midfielder has already hit 100 appearances for the German giants, despite being only 19 years old, and has scored 27 goals so far.
Although representing Germany, the wonderkid is no stranger to England after coming through the Chelsea academy and playing for their under-18’s and has since become another proof of the lack of judgement that seems to always happen at the Blues’ academy.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side have been desperately calling out for a creative midfielder ever since Philippe Coutinho left in 2018, and the Reds might not have to face as much competition for Musiala’s signature as they do for Bellingham with every club in the world interested in the England star.
