Liverpool fans have turned into detectives once again as the January transfer window is fast approaching.
The eagle-eyed fans spotted something interesting on an Instagram post by the UEFA Champions League’s official Instagram about Liverpool announcing the signing of Cody Gakpo.
It was in fact Brighton midfielder, Moises Caicedo, who seemed to like the announcement as he double tapped on the post- leaving many Reds fans reading in between the lines.

The Reds have been linked with a move for the Ecuador midfielder over the past 12 months, as a possible January transfer target as moves for Jude Bellingham and Enzo Fernandez seem to be more complicated by the day.
Many fans see Caicedo as the perfect replacement of Gini Wijnaldum, who left the club in the summer of 2021 in favour of a move to PSG after his contract at Anfield expired.
The move is expected to cost around £50million at least, as Brighton are still hesitant to part ways with the 21-year-old especially in the middle of the season as they continue to push for European qualification for next season.
A move for Caicedo or Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat remains the more likely targets for the Reds, after splashing £37million on Gakpo it is hard to see them now going after a £100million target such as Bellingham, Fernandez or De Jong.
