Liverpool target is ‘gone’ after impressive World Cup

|

Liverpool target, Cody Gakpo, will definitely leave PSV Eidenhoven in the near future according to journalist, Hans Kraay Jr.

The Netherlands star has been a bright spark for his side so far in the World Cup, where they have struggled to find much creativity in their performances.

The forward has scored in both games so far, once in their 2-0 victory over Senegal and again in their 1-1 draw with Ecuador.

Following his recent performances, Kraay Jr. insists: “Gakpo is gone, PSV can no longer keep him.”

The Journalist also directly addressed where his next club may be and that Liverpool will face competition from Manchester United, suggesting: “Gakpo will play in the Premier League. The chance it will be Manchester United is bigger, because Cristiano Ronaldo is gone.”

“At Liverpool, assistant Pep Lijnders is charmed by him, so he is chasing Jurgen Klopp. Yes, Gakpo is gone.”

Perhaps Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk will be dropping hints and persuading Gakpo to consider Liverpool as his next destination.

The 23-year-old can play in any of the forward three positions and can even slot into the midfield three which suits Jurgen Klopp’s system perfectly.

Currently sat on 21 goal involvements in 14 appearances in the Eredivisie this season, Gakpo certainly has the attacking instinct that Klopp likes so very much.
