Jurgen Klopp is ready to bring another Primeira Liga talent to the Premier League and wants the club to step up its interest in 23-year-old midfielder Matheus Nunes.

The Merseyside club have already added three young talents to their squad this summer; Darwin Nunez, Calvin Ramsay and Fabio Carvalho.

Now, according to Correio da Manha, Liverpool are ready to make Matheus Nunes their fourth signing of the summer and will step up their interest in the midfielder in the coming weeks.

Liverpool desperately need to bolster their midfield, with an aging engine room, the area was highlighted as a place for improvement before the summer transfer window began.

Nevertheless, the Reds have improved their squad in all areas but the middle of the park, leaving fans anxious as to whether Jurgen Klopp’s injury-prone midfield can last the season without reinforcements.

You only have to look as far as Luis Diaz’s instant impact as to how a Primeira Liga talent can settle to life in England; making Nunes an even more interesting proposition.

The midfielder’s signature could be secured at a relatively cheap price also, with the report suggesting a fee of £38.5 million and then a further £4.2 million in add-ons being enough to land the talented 23-year-old.
