We got what we deserved yesterday. Nothing.
Before the game I thought we would get beat, I thought that Ferguson is a classless ba$tard. As you were.
To summarise the game: Berbatov played really well, his second goal was outstanding. Utd deserved all three points. O’Shea should have been booked but not sent off. It was a stonewall penalty. Gerrard wasn’t anonymous at Old Trafford for once. Nani is attempting to emulate Ronaldo in more ways than simply football. Torres looks and is acting well pi$$ed off. Meirelies looks half decent. Konchesky doesn`t. Neither does Poulsen. Rooney was a passenger. So was Van Der Sar. We can’t defend crosses, maybe this zonal marking argument can finally be put to bed whilst we search for a replacement for Sami. Carragher is over the hill. Agger should start next game in league. Babel needs a chance. At the expense of Maxi.
Enough about the match. I am going to vent my spleen about some other things.
Ferguson. This is the single most classless man in football. How anyone can watch one of their players and their theatrics (Nani) and then accuse another player who was fouled, of being a cheat. Well I am speechless. Practically every word that comes out of the mans mouth directly contradicts another statement he has previously made. On Friday he was giving it to Benitez for personal attacks and saying that he had never done that (apart from to Wenger/Benitez and others). He is a fabulous football manager but he is a tw@t of a man and he will never be remembered fondly by anyone but the most one eyed yernited fans.
Utd fans. The ‘Murderers’ chants are getting louder and louder now. As are the ‘without killing anyone’ chants. Heres the thing, do a little research on your own club. For, say a cup semi final in 1995 and a Crystal Palace fan. A simple google search should suffice. Then get off your high horse. Without killing anyone my arse. That and your bile about scousers whilst worshipping one… Well you and your manager deserve each other.
Hodgson. Heres the thing Roy. This nice guy thing is all well and good. You need to stand up to ‘them’ if you are going to be in charge of us. Many column inches were written about ‘Rafa’s Rant’ but one thing was overlooked. It. Was. All. True. Being subervient to your friend Alex isn’t going to fly. When he makes baseless accusations, pull him on it.
Allardyce. Haha.
Hicks. Believe it or not, getting beat by them wasn’t the worst thing to have happened this weekend. That particular honour falls to the news that Hicks is attempting to gain full control at Anfield. It is about time our support mobilised against this man. Google ‘Corinthians’ in Brazil for a snapshot of our future under Tom Hicks. It is time we did something, we are far too apathetic.
