According to a report from the Athletic via the Daily Mirror, Liverpool have chosen Coldplay hit song ‘a Sky Full of Stars‘ to play as we lift a long elusive Premier League crown this evening – but many Reds have playfully bashed the decision as a ‘massive‘ club mistake.
Following a successful title challenge, Jurgen Klopp’s side will hoist the trophy aloft after nearly 30 years of waiting – with Liverpool preparing for a joyous celebration tonight despite the lack of supporters due to recent events.
As per the Athletic via Mirror, Liverpool have outlined a few requirements for the celebrations to properly applaud our historic title landmark – with club legend Kenny Dalglish presenting the cup to captain Jordan Henderson as part of the festivities.
Indeed, the senior players have also had a say in the event, including picking which songs get to feature on the playlist – with one of them being ‘A Sky Full of Stars’ by Coldplay.

Bring me back to the days when players just lifted the trophy, got on with it, parked it and let’s go next season.
