Liverpool will face Manchester United this evening in a mouthwatering Monday night clash with both teams desperately needing a win.

The Reds have drawn their two opening games of the season, whilst United have lost their two fixtures, with one, a crushing 4-0 defeat to Brentford.

Jurgen Klopp’s team still has an extensive injury list, nevertheless, a few familiar faces will be returning to the squad ahead of tonight’s clash.

Brazil international Roberto Firmino missed last week’s game against Crystal Palace, however, the forward returns to the squad tonight and is in with a shot of starting.

Naby Keita also returns to the Liverpool matchday squad after suffering an illness that ruled him out of the Red’s two opening Premier League fixtures.

Although, Jurgen Klopp still faces a selection headache ahead of the big game at Old Trafford, with the club suffering from multiple injuries to senior players.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joel Matip, Curtis Jones, Diogo Jota, Calvin Ramsay, Thiago Alcantara, Ibrahima Konate and Caoimhin Kelleher are all ruled out with long-term injuries.

Club-record signing Darwin Nunez also misses the fixture after receiving a red card for violent conduct against Crystal Palace last week.

It will be interesting to see who Klopp opts for in Liverpool’s starting XI, with so many senior players out we expect a different lineup and formation may be used by the German tactician.
