The Red’s disappointing start to the season continued yesterday evening after the club fell to a defeat at Old Trafford to Manchester United.

Liverpool remains winless in their opening three games of the Premier League; the worst start under Jurgen Klopp to a season since he took over at the club.

Jurgen Klopp’s men will look to reignite their season this weekend against AFC Bournemouth, in what is now a vital fixture.

Alisson Becker spoke to Liverpool’s official club website about the out-of-sorts start to the season and the team’s overall performance against United last night.

“We believe that we played in a few moments in the game better than them. But in a game you have to do everything to win and to make better your performance – we couldn’t do that.” Said Liverpool’s number one.

“We all agree that we must improve our performance. We have to be more consistent, we have to come back to the clean sheets again and we have to play better with the ball, making better choices – we all agree on that. This is what we are going to chase for the next game.”

Alisson is hoping the club can turn their fortunes around sooner rather than later, something they’ll have to do if they want any chance of winning the Premier League this season.

The goalkeeper also explained how teams have figured out how they play and have learned to exploit their weaknesses far too easily.

“Teams, when they play against us, they know the way we play and they try to exploit that and they try to use that against us. [It’s] something that most times works for us, [but] sometimes we get punished for that and tonight it is what happened.”

With the transfer window still open, fans are crying out for problems to be solved, whether or not this will happen remains to be seen.
