There is an outcry for Liverpool to sign a midfielder after the club’s less than impressive start to the Premier League season.
The club was thought to be waiting it out til next summer to secure the signature of starlet Jude Bellingham but there needs to be a short-term fix.
And there’s a less expensive Premier League option on the market that would provide the Reds with a short-term fix to their ageing midfield.
20-year-old Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo is a promising talent, whose little Premier League experience has been extremely impressive.

Caicedo currently sits third for most successful tackles from a midfielder in the Premier League this season with a total of 11; more than Fabinho, James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Harvey Elliott combined.
It’s a tricky situation for Liverpool to be in, do they sit tight and hope that this blip-in form blows over, or do they act out of character and make a move in the transfer window before it’s too late?
Brighton will likely inflate their price for Caicedo now they know of Liverpool’s dire need for a midfielder and this may price the Reds out of a move.
Graham Potter’s side have also already lost two of their best talents this summer; Marc Cucurella to Chelsea and Yves Bissouma to Tottenham; making a move even more difficult.
