Takumi Minamino’s time at Liverpool looks set to end this summer and the attacker certainly isn’t short of clubs from around Europe vying for his signature.
Minamino enjoyed a fairly successful season with the Reds, scoring 10 goals, seven of which came in League Cup and FA cup winning campaigns.
Now, according to The Times’ Paul Joyce, the forward has two clubs from Ligue 1 fighting to bring the 27-year-old to France.
The report suggests Monaco and Lyon are both interested in the Japan international and are keen to battle it out for his signature this summer.

Liverpool rate Minamino’s value at around the £18m mark, a solid price for a fringe player who’s only appearances have come in cup competitions.
Nevertheless, Minamino proved this season that he’s a solid option to have in any squad but Liverpool would be foolish to keep him on their books if the right offer came in for him.
The money from the sales of Minamino can be put towards finding a midfielder for Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI; an area of concern for the club heading into the 2022/23 season.
