After recording their biggest ever Premier League win in a 9-0 humiliation of AFC Bournemouth, Liverpool’s season is certainly underway.

Now, the Reds face a tricky stretch of games which will be the ultimate test of most teams in the league to see who will be fighting it out at the top.

Newcastle are up next for Jurgen Klopp’s side, which promises to be the Merseysider’s toughest game to date; Newcastle have had a sharp start to the campaign.

Speaking to Liverpool’s official club website, the Greek Scouser, Kostas Tsimikas gave his thoughts on the Red’s next game.

“We have to see every game differently because every game is very difficult and we have to be well prepared for everything. This is the only thing we have to do and always we do.”

Tsimikas went on to praise Newcastle’s current squad, saying that they are extremely talented.

“It’s a good team. They have very good, talented players up front – very fast, very quick and very technical. We have to be focused if we want to achieve something.”

The Greek international then claimed how it was vital the team won their individual battles, something they didn’t do in their opening Premier League fixtures.

“We have to win every personal duel, in my opinion, and to score from the first chance we will get. We expect one very hard game.”

Tsimikas stated that the club’s 9-0 win against Bournemouth was critical with the Red’s tricky upcoming fixtures.

“We have Newcastle, a very difficult team. I saw against Man City they are very tough, they score goals, they are very compact. It’s going to be a very difficult game for us and we have to be prepared.”

The defender also outlined the importance of the team giving absolutely everything to win.

“I think it was a very good winning start for us. But nothing is easy in this league, so I think most important is to be 100 percent focused and to give absolutely everything if we want to win this game.”

Tsimikas could be in with a shout of securing a spot in Jurgen Klopp’s first XI against Newcastle.

The defender provided two assists and created two chances in 21 minutes of play against Bournemouth; silky stats.
