A few Liverpool supporters have been reacting on social media after the Mirror claimed Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic could both be sold in the summer transfer window.

Wilson and Grujic face uncertain futures at Anfield as they return to Merseyside from respective loan spells with AFC Bournemouth and Hertha Berlin, as the pair face a real challenge at being given the chance to impress Jurgen Klopp during pre-season.

Klopp would usually offer a selection of the Reds’ fringe players minutes during the early friendly fixtures but is expected to favour the established fold due to the condensed nature brought about by the 2019/20 season being postponed for so long.

It is therefore expected that Klopp could look to sell either or both of the pair to raise needed funds for the summer market, having admitted that Liverpool are not in a position where they can spend big on transfers.

Liverpool have previously valued Wilson at close to £20million and are suggested to see Grujic close to that sum, however it is doubtful that the Reds could demand as much in the current climate.

Wilson is currently valued by TransferMarkt at £15.75m after his exploits with Bournemouth as the Cherries were regulated, having scored seven times over his 31 Premier League appearances of which 20 outings came in the starting line-up.

As for Grujic, the Serbia international is valued at £13.05m after he enjoyed a moderately successful loan spell with Hertha Berlin, for whom he scored four times and provided one assist over 29 Bundesliga outings of which all came in the opening XI.

Liverpool fans have reacted to the Mirror’s report of potential departures in various ways, with some confused as to why the Reds could cash in on what depth Klopp has in order to fund moves for other targets.

Others are not as against parting ways with Wilson nor Grujic, with a few open to seeing the Reds cash-in on the pair.

Yet a major gripe of the Anfield fanbase has not been the uncertain futures Wilson or Grujic face, but rather that Liverpool are in a position where they must sell in order to buy having reached two Champions League finals, win one and lift the Premier League trophy in the past three seasons.
