Following Scotland’s qualification for Euro 2021 after their victory over Serbia last night during a tense penalty shootout, which saw the Tartan Army win 5-4 – one Liverpool player, in particular, was lost for words after the victory.

Reds left-back Andy Robertson started the game at left-wing-back and captained the side to their first major tournament in 23 years – and Twitter account Football Daily was quick to tweet his interview with Sky Sports after the game…

I love the genuine emotion from Robertson here, the qualification clearly means so much to him and Scotland and all power to them. He states this is the most emotional he has ever been after a game – must have forgotten that Champions League final against Tottenham then…

Would you like to see Tsimikas play more?

Yes

No

All jokes aside, the inner Scotsman in me is over the moon being part Scottish and I feel the international break for games such as these is completely understandable – and despite Jurgen Klopp’s evident worries over the number of games being played for his squad at the moment, he will no doubt be ecstatic for Robertson here.

Robertson will likely receive a bit of a break now, especially given the number of games he has played recently, having played every minute of the clubs Premier League campaign so far this season – meaning a chance for Kostas Tsimikas may be on the cards?

What do you think Reds, are you happy for Scotland and Andy Robertson? Let us know in the comments section below…
