Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez was in no mood to be friendly when he aired his views on Mourinho, Chelsea, and the horror tackle which could have ended Hamann’s career by Essien in Tuesday nights Champions League clash.
Rafa was outraged with the tackle insisting: ‘I could see the tackle. I’ve also seen Dietmar Hamann’s leg. It’s clear. If you can see the video you will have your opinion.’
He added: ‘I have an idea that in this kind of situation they should look at the video. Not for changing the game, but if the referee has made a mistake.’
On Mourinho he simply stated: ‘I think he talks a lot.’ after the Chelsea boss admitted that he kept telling the Liverpool management team on the bench to ‘sit down’ and ‘stop crying’ throughout the game.
Liverpool have once again proved they are the masters in Europe over Chelsea something that Mourinho obviously cannot take.
