According to a report by Belgian news outlet HLN via Sport Witness, Liverpool striker Divock Origi wishes to stay at the club given he is ‘okay‘ with an Anfield super sub role – prompting some Reds to slam the ‘hopeless‘ £14.4 million-valued cult hero.
Origi, who has played 137 times in all competitions, scoring 33 goals in that time, has been a favourite in the eyes of many Reds supporters for a handful of incredible moments – including the decisive goal against Barcelona during our memorable 4-0 comeback at home to the Catalans.
Should Liverpool keep Origi?
Yes, 100%
No, not good enough
As well as this, the Belgian striker has bagged braces against Merseyside rivals Everton and scored a late winner against Newcastle United to keep last season’s title hopes briefly alive.
However, flocking to this report that he wishes to remain as the superb sub, some Liverpool fans think it is time for the 25-year-old to part company.
Here’s what they had to say on social media.
Can he be sold please

Honestly feel its better for the lad to leave. He has scored some iconic goals. Will live long in the memories, but is simply not good enough as a football player to be at the club. We sold Ings. We shouldn’t have.

His true level is so difficult to predict. There is no way the man who played against BVB in 15/16 and bagged a brace against the Ev this season should be struggling like what we’ve seen most other times. His pressing is atrocious. sigh

I love him, but he’s not good enough for us anymore.
The drop off in quality is huge, especially when he starts, and he’s far too passive.
