‘FSG OUT’- Liverpool fans raid club’s Official Twitter Account

|

Liverpool fans have lost patience with Fenway Sports Group after another transfer window had concluded without the signing of a midfielder.

After years of tension building beneath the surface due to ticket prices, the European Super League plans and their sell-to-buy transfer policy despite the club generating the third most revenue in world football.

Earlier today, the Liverpool FC Twitter Account announced that youngster, Fidel O’Rourke would be joining FC Halifax Town on loan until the end of the season.

The announcement was greeted with outrage from some Liverpool supporters, replying with photos of the owner, John Henry, with the message ‘FSG OUT, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH’.

Thousands of the same image was scattered across the comment section on the post.

Liverpool have only signed one midfielder since 2018, with Thiago Alcantara joining the club for £25million in 2020.

Jurgen Klopp has constantly claimed there was no options in the market to protect FSG, whilst Chelsea have signed Enzo Fernandez, Arsenal have signed Jorginho, Manchester United have signed Marcel Sabitzer, Leeds have signed Weston McKennie and many more midfielders have landed Premier League moves.

This decision has left Liverpool will lots of problems in the middle of the park, with Jordan Henderson and James Milner still starting regularly.

The Reds currently sit 9th in the Premier League and are ten points away from Champions League qualification.

Admittedly, it seems FSG have lost all ambition at the club since announcing they would be open to selling the club should the right offer come in.

It might seem petty by some supporters, but imagine paying £300 to watch one Liverpool match to have none of that money re-invested into the squad.

Unfortunately, FSG’s negligence has pretty much put the final nail in the coffin for Liverpool’s season.
